Seals
Seals come in all types. They may be between two stationary objects these are classified as (static seals), or they may be put in between a moving and stationary object. (dynamic seals). Their job is to prevent leakage of a fluid or gas, as well to keep an contaminants out of the system.
Seals that prevent the transfer of fluid from side of the system to the other are know as (positive seals). However there are seals that do allow for some leakage, (non-positive seals).
