Trade Theory

Trade Theory

Applying scientific principles is the basis for any skilled trade. Millwrights, electricians, machinists no matter what the trade is. Applying trade science principles are constantly used, often without even realizing it. There are times that the trade professional needs to think a problem through by implementing these principles, using them to calculate dimensions, loads or some other form of quantity using a specific formula. These formulas could be that of calculating the coefficient for linear expansion, calculating voltage drop, or determining a feed rate.

Not only knowing these formulas and scientific principles, it's good for the trade professional to know how their trade was established what the history of their trade is all about.

What is electricity? Electricity is defined as "the flow of electrons through simple materials and devices" or "that force which moves electrons." Scientists think electricity is produced by very tiny particles called electrons and protons. These particles are too small to be seen, but exist as subatomic particles in the atom. To understand how they exist, you must first understand the structure of the atom.
